Although everyone recognises that effective antenatal and postnatal care are crucial for every pregnancy, the time dedicated to providing relevant and personalised support and advice is often rushed and even confusing at times. Published findings by the government Healthcare Commission only echo the frontline experiences of midwives, like Debbie, within the NHS. PACKAGES (payment options available)Antenatal Care1 x booking appointment between 10-–12 weeks of pregnancy.This will be for gathering information about you and your medical and obstetric history and enable the creation of your tailored care.11 x follow–up appointments to check maternal and fetal well–being and to discuss and answer any questions or concerns you may have.Should you need further appointments for a medical reason these will be included in the antenatal package.Scans and blood tests can still be carried out on the NHS or arranged privately (cost to be advised).Antenatal Package £1100Postnatal Care10 x visits to you at home for up to four weeks after delivery.During these visits the well–being of you and your baby will be monitored. You will receive information, advice and support with breastfeeding (or bottle feeding if that is your chosen method) and caring for your newborn.My years of working within the community setting and my experience of working 24/7 with newborns on short term overseas placements, has enabled me to develop an easy method to help you quickly and effortlessly gain control and to structure your new family life during the early weeks. The visits will start from the day after you are discharged from hospital.•Week One you will receive four visits•Week Two, three visits•Week Three, two visits•Week Four, your final visitVisits are spread over a four week period to enable you to build and gain confidence in caring for your baby with the peace of mind of being able to contact me if you have any concerns or questions. As with the antenatal package, any further visits needed (eg extra support with breastfeeding problems), will be included in the postnatal package.Postnatal Package £1000
